Hi I'm Annie and I studying Health Science at the University of Missouri while also minoring in Spanish. I spend a lot of time studying at coffee shops, but when I am not studying I am running and working as a Rehab Tech at the Missouri Orthopedic Institute. Global Brigades has a very special meaning to me because it helped me make the decision to switch from physical therapy to nursing. Honduras has different health care standards than the U.S, so educating about public health in rural communities is beneficial. My end goal with Global Brigades is to go back to Honduras and help provide health care as a registered nurse.
